One Mosquito Pool Tests Positive for WNV; City to Spray Overnight Sept. 26 & 27
(September 25, 2026) The City of Frisco received confirmation one mosquito pool tested ‘positive’ for West Nile virus (WNV) this week. In response, the city’s third-party contractor will ground spray overnight Sept. 26 & 27.

텍사스주 프리스코시는 이번 주 모기 집단 한 곳에서 웨스트나일바이러스(WNV) 양성 판정을 확인했다고 25일 밝혔다. 이에 따라 시 위탁업체가 26일(토) 오후 9시부터 27일(일) 오전 5시까지, 27일 밤에도 같은 시간대인 28일(월) 오전 5시까지 지상 방역을 실시한다. 날씨와 바람 여건이 허락하는 경우 페어필드 에스테이츠, 레이크스 오브 프레스턴 빈야드, 파크사이드 에스테이츠, 플랜테이션 에스테이츠, 프레스턴 레이크스, 프레스턴 빈야드 노스, 셰퍼즈 힐, 스톤브릭 매너 지역에서 진행된다. 올해 프리스코에서 양성으로 나온 모기 집단은 이번이 13번째이며, 2026년 프리스코에서 확인된 인체 감염 사례는 없다.
