조지아 둘루스시, 주거지 공구·장비 소음 조례 개정
조지아주 둘루스시가 주거지에서 쓰는 일부 공구와 장비에 관한 소음 조례를 개정했다고 밝혔다. 이번 개정은 가정용 전동공구, 잔디깎이, 낙엽 송풍기, 체인톱 및 그 밖의 농업용 장비에 적용된다. 장비에 소음기(머플러)를 달고 조례가 정한 소음 기준 안에서 작동할 때 사용이 허용되는 시간은 평일 오전 7시부터 오후 8시까지, 주말과 연방 공휴일은 오전 8시부터 오후 5시까지다. 시는 이번 개정이 주민에게 더 명확한 지침을 제공하고 안전하고 서로 배려하는 이웃 환경을 뒷받침하기 위한 것이라고 밝혔다.
