시애틀시가 킹카운티와 보조를 맞춰 2단계 화기 금지(Stage 2 Burn Ban)를 10월1일 오전 8시부로 해제한다고 시애틀 소방국이 9월30일 밝혔다. 2단계 화기 금지 기간에는 모든 야외 불 피우기가 금지됐다. 해제 뒤에는 시애틀 소방국 안내문(Client Assistance Memo 5022)의 요건을 지키면 개인 소유지에서 여가용 불(recreational fire)을 다시 피울 수 있다.
