미국 식품업체 G. L. 메제타(G. L. Mezzetta Inc.)가 '메제타 골든 그리스 페페론치니 미디엄 히트' 32온스 제품의 특정 로트를 자발적으로 리콜한다고 미국식품의약국(FDA)이 26일 공지했다. 병 안에 해충 오염물질 등 이물질이 들어 있을 수 있다는 이유다. 회사는 소셜미디어에 돌고 있는 병 속 해충 의심 물질 영상을 인지해 해당 소비자에게 연락하고 조사와 리콜에 들어갔다고 밝혔다. 리콜 대상은 SKU 10106328, 로트 720106 제품뿐이며 다른 메제타 제품이나 로트는 포함되지 않는다. 회사는 현재까지 질병이나 부상 신고는 접수되지 않았다고 밝혔다.
