FTC, 주차 미터기 QR코드 덮어씌운 사기 주의 당부
미 연방거래위원회(FTC)는 9월 3일 소비자 경보를 내고 주차 요금 결제에 쓰이는 QR코드를 악용한 사기에 주의하라고 밝혔다. FTC에 따르면 사기범이 주차 미터기에 붙은 정상 QR코드 위에 자신의 QR코드를 덮어씌웠다는 신고가 접수됐다. 이 가짜 QR코드를 스캔하면 돈이나 개인정보, 또는 둘 다를 빼내려고 만든 가짜 사이트로 연결될 수 있다고 FTC는 설명했다.
