CPSC, NEWDERY 보조배터리 2만여 개 화재 위험 리콜
미국 소비자제품안전위원회(CPSC)는 9월 24일 중국 업체 NEWDERY의 보조배터리 모델 ZHX-PB22 약 2만 1,380개를 리콜한다고 밝혔다. 제품 안의 리튬이온 배터리가 폭발하거나 발화해 화재와 화상 위험이 있다는 이유에서다. NEWDERY는 폭발·발화 사례 9건을 접수했으며, 이 가운데 1건은 재산 피해 200만 달러가 난 심각한 화재였고 1건은 화상 부상 사례라고 했다. 제품은 검은색 본체에 노란색 케이블이 달렸고, 앞면에 'NEWDERY' 상표가, 뒷면에 모델명이 표기돼 있다. 2023년 10월부터 2024년 11월까지 아마존닷컴에서 27~50달러에 판매됐다.
