메디케어 공개등록 사기 주의보(FTC)
연방거래위원회(FTC)는 건강보험 사기가 연중 발생하지만 메디케어·마켓플레이스 공개등록 기간에 늘어난다며 소비자 경보를 냈다. 온라인 검색으로 새 보험을 찾을 때 검색 결과 상단에 사기·부정 업체가 광고비를 내고 올라올 수 있다고 경고했다. FTC는 웹사이트 주소를 검색창에 직접 입력하고 ".gov" 도메인과 "광고(Ad)/협찬(Sponsored)" 표시를 확인하라고 안내했다. 피해를 입으면 ReportFraud.ftc.gov에 신고할 수 있다.
