미국 메디케어·메디케이드 서비스센터(CMS)는 9월30일 오리지널 메디케어 파트B의 약값을 낮추기 위한 '글로브 모델(GLOBE·Global Benchmark for Efficient Drug Pricing Model)'을 확정했다고 밝혔다. 이 모델은 의료진이 의료기관에서 투여하는 특정 파트B 약물·생물학적제제에 대해 해외 경제협력국들의 약값을 기준 삼아 리베이트 산정 방식을 바꾸는 시험 사업이며, 바이오시밀러(시장 진입 후 해당 오리지널 바이오의약품 포함)·희귀의약품·혈장유래제품·일부 세포유전자치료제는 제외된다. 2027년1월1일부터 2032년3월31일까지 5년간 시행되고 제약사 리베이트 정산은 2034년3월31일까지 이어지는데, 전국 전체가 아니라 무작위로 선정된 일부 지역 거주 수급자만 대상이 돼 전체 오리지널 메디케어 수급자의 약 25% 수준에 적용된다. 대상 지역 수급자는 2027년4월1일부터 본인부담금이 줄어들 수 있다.
