Cost-of-Living Increase and Other Determinations for 2027
Under title II of the Social Security Act (Act), there will be a 3.6 percent cost-of-living increase in Social Security benefits effective December 2026. In addition, the national average wage index for 2025 is $72,800.33. The cost-of-living increase and national average wage index affect other program parameters as described below.

사회보장국, 2027년 생활비 조정 3.6% 고시
미국 사회보장국(SSA)은 10월 26일 연방 관보를 통해 사회보장급여의 2027년 생활비 조정(COLA) 인상률을 3.6%로 고시했다. 2026년 12월분을 받을 자격이 있는 수급자의 급여에 적용되며, 인상된 급여는 2027년 1월부터 지급된다. 연방 보충보장소득(SSI)도 3.6% 인상되며, 2027년 1월분은 2026년 12월 31일 지급된다.
