워싱턴주 어류야생동물국(WDFW)은 11월 6일부터 그린강 상류 일부 구간의 낚시 통제를 해제하고 상시 규칙을 다시 적용한다고 밝혔다. 대상은 오번 블랙다이아몬드 로드 다리에서 상류의 타코마 시 경계 표지까지이며 모든 어종에 적용된다. 최근 강수와 부화장 집계 결과 케타 크리크 부화장으로 돌아온 연어가 번식용 어미 확보와 채란 목표를 충족할 전망이라는 판단에 따른 조치다. 낚시인은 해당 어업에 맞는 유효한 면허를 갖추고 최신 긴급 규칙과 상시 규칙을 확인해야 한다.
